Festival : Gdański Festiwal Tańca

The organiser of the Gdansk Dance Festival is Klub Żak, a municipal institution of culture. The festival is realised with funds from the City of Gdańsk and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Fund for the Promotion of Culture - a state purpose fund, within the framework of the "Dance" programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.

The festival draws on the traditions of the Baltic Dance University, Dance Explosions and the Gdansk Dance Corporation to promote the work of Tri-city artists. The artists associated around the festival have managed to create a strong dance centre which is recognised in Poland and abroad. In terms of the form of organisation, high level of activity and a large number of groups and individual artists, the Tri-City Dance Corporation is an exception in the Polish theatre and dance landscape.

From the very beginning, the festival has been supported by a large group of Friends and Patrons who have been involved in its realisation for image reasons, thus appreciating the quality and increasingly high level of each subsequent edition of the Gdansk Dance Festival. In recent years we have been supported by: Saur Neptun, GIWK, TVP Kultura, Miesięcznik Teatr, Portal Trójmiasto.
